Hyatt To Open Two of the “Most Elevated Level of All-inclusive” Resorts in Playa del Carmen

Hyatt’s Apple Leisure Group is launching two all-inclusive only-adult resorts in Playa del Carmen, Mexico on Feb. 11 and Apr. 1, respectively. 

According to Hyatt, leisure travel is on the rise with a strong preference for resort and all-inclusive experiences.

The resorts, which will be part of the Secrets Brand by Apple Leisure Group’s AMR Collection, promise to feature the “most elevated level of all-inclusive” for the Secrets brand. 

“We remain very intentional about where the Hyatt brand footprint grows to ensure we’re present in markets that matter most to the leisure-focused traveler of today and tomorrow,” said Jim Chu, Hyatt’s executive vice president, global franchising and development. 

“Our pipeline of new properties signals that Hyatt is well poised to deliver against the demand for more leisure travel experiences.”

Secrets Moxche, opening Feb 11

The Secrets Moxche Playa del Carmen, a 198-rooms only-adult resort is set to open on February 11.

Seven a la carte restaurants, a buffet, and a café will be among its 11 eating different concepts as well as ten bars and lounges.

Secrets ‘Impression’ Moxche Playa del Carmen, for its part, will feature the brand’s highest enhanced degree of all-inclusive, according to the corporation.

The 485-rooms only-adult resort is expected to open on Apr. 1. Guests will have access to the culinary selections from the nearby Moxche resort, as well as other ‘Impression’-only features that will remain a secret for now.

Hyatt has also revealed intentions to expand its brand throughout the Americas, with hotel openings scheduled from now until 2023.

Between 2022 and 2023, up to 45 hotels, including Apple Leisure Group’s (ALG) AMR Collection properties, are expected to join Hyatt’s portfolio of brands.

According to the company’s stats, the end of 2021 and early 2022 have seen increased demand for leisure travel, with many resorts in the United States setting new RevPAR (revenue per available room) records.

Furthermore, thanks to the recent acquisition of ALG, the corporation will be able to offer one of the largest portfolios of premium all-inclusive resorts and luxury hotels in Mexico and the Caribbean,
