Play Airlines will take to the skies for the first time on April 20. Passengers will fly from Baltimore BWI Airport to Reykjavik, Iceland. To celebrate this milestone, the airline is holding a flash sale.
The discount applies only to flights purchased between April 18 and 22.
The new low-cost airline is offering the deal on flights from Baltimore, Boston and New York to Reykjavik, Barcelona, Berlin, Brussels, Dublin, London, Madrid and Paris.
The discounted flights must be used between April 18 and June 10 or between Sept. 1 and Nov. 15.
Since this is a budget airline, travelers should get an overall picture of the full cost before buying. Things like luggage, food, and seat selection can increase the cost rapidly.
“Since we opened bookings, Play’s affordable fares and high reliability stood out, appealing to travelers eager to embark on long-awaited vacations, spontaneous getaways, and work-cations,” Play CEO Birgir Jónsson said in a statement provided to T L.
“Baltimore is only the beginning of our U.S. operations, and we look forward to welcoming travelers… as they book trips to Iceland or Play’s other popular European destinations in the coming months.”
The airline will operate a fleet of six A320neo and A321neo aircraft
